Jacob's cricket debut!

Just got back from Northside school and witnessed Jacob playing his first game of cricket.. He scored several runs, hit well and seemed to be understanding the rules. He made a blunder at the end of his bat, mostly due to the fact that he thought he was playing baseball.. I went up early this morning to hear him give his oral report on the Islam religion.. He got all high marks. Don't worry folks.. my life is pretty dull these days.. that's why I feel the need to report on exactly what my kids are studying in school.. Cricket seems like a fun game, but when its 125 degrees out,, it makes for a long afternoon in the sun.. Games apparently can take a long, long, long time... Days for example.. Think of listening to a reds game when Marty is at a graduation or something and steve Stewart and tim Kremcheck fill in... could be painful and looonnng.

But it was a good match and Jacob can chalk that off of his list of things to do "when in Rome".

Not much else to report...I started the mural at their school today and are hoping to work on it a bit more tomorrow....a video of his first game, excuse me, match(which is also kind of boring) will be up later tonight or tomorrow. Oh yeah, also included is a photo from the most recent cornhole match(love jude with his shovel) and Franny..All for now....
