Michelle came home from her outreach trip. She said the place was in the middle of nowhere.. Seemed like the people were cut off from the rest of civilization. Trips out to those places reminds us how far away from home we really are, and gives a better sense of the true African experience.. She also told me the drive was very interesting..
Just like at home, Botswana has the occasional large, irregular, wide loaded trucks that barrel down the freeway.. at home, they are usually accompanied by a well mark truck, with lights flashing, etc.
Michelle said they passed a large "odd load" marked truck that had a police officer on a motorcycle motioning people with his hand to get out of the way as he drove in front of the truck. Seems like a perfectly safe way to tell oncoming vehicles that are going 80 miles an hour to take caution.. Perfect Botswana...
Jacob has soccer game today again the Rainbow School, should be a tight match.
Jude has taken a liking to wearing girls boots lately.. I'll have to get a photo for you. He looks striking in them. The boots are black with pink lining and tassels.
Should I be concerned?
Other than that, not much to report. I'll head out tomorrow to continue taking photos, it's been a few weeks since I've been out. the weather here continues to be perfect.
All for now.
